Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

This week's Pet of the Week is Rosie, a 4-year-old spayed female cat. Rosie came to the Berkshire Humane Society because, sadly, her owner died. She was really afraid when she first got there, but now she is ready for a new home. Rosie is a large tiger cat with white toes and would do best in a home without small children or other cats.

To learn more about Rosie and all the other pets looking for their forever home, contact the Berkshire Humane Society at 214 Barker Road in Pittsfield, or give the shelter a call at (413) 447-7878 ext 126.

There are also two donation drives for pet food, toys, and supplies to Benefit Berkshire Humane Society. Both run through December 18 at the following locations The Berkshire Dog at 126 South Street in Lanesboro and Springside Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center at 255 Lebanon Avenue.

Due to the rise in COVID-19 numbers locally, the Berkshire Humane Society is open and all services are available by appointment only for adoptions, surrenders, and our Pet Food Bank.
