John Perreault, Executive Director of The Berkshire Humane Society joined Slater and I on the show this morning and gave us an update on Mario, the dog who accidentally got lose from the shelter Sunday. Mario is back a little wet, but safe and sound. Mario was a rescue dog from St. Croix, who survived two hurricanes there and is very happy to be back in good care at the shelter. John extended his thanks to all the volunteers and staff from the shelter, along with everyone who shared the story, and people who called BHS with sightings.

Meet Elizabeth, BHS' Pet of the Week

Elizabeth (2)

Elizabeth

I’m a 2-year-old female that was brought to Berkshire Humane Society as a stray. Staff doesn’t know much about my history, but I have proven to be a very nice girl – gentle, sweet and loving. I have some special needs, which they can tell you about. I’d love a family to call my own. Please come meet me and I’ll show you that even though I can be a little quiet, I am really very personable!

You can meet Elizabeth, or any of the other wonderful pets looking for their forever home at 213 Barker Road in Pittsfield, or by visiting the shelter online.
