The last time Slater and Marjo spoke with Mayor Linda Tyer and Superintendent Jason McCandless, the two leaders were both in agreement that schools were unlikely to reopen in Pittsfield and/or Massachusetts.

On Tuesday afternoon Governor Charlie Baker announced that students would not be returning to school for the remainder of the academic year.

He also announced that remote learning would continue however.

Baker also reiterated that this situation is not ideal for parents and students alike; however found it necessary to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
