Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

This week's Pet of the Week is Bonnie, a six-year-old lab/terrier mix who came to Berkshire Humane Society along with 14 other dogs. The group of mostly senior dogs was rescued from a hoarding situation in Georgia where they were found living in unsanitary conditions with about 60 other animals in a kennel outside of the owner’s home when they were rescued.

Bonnie is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. She walks well on a leash with her harness and loves to play with her stuffed duckie. Bonnie has a high prey drive, so a home with no cats or small children would be best. Even though she lived with other dogs in the past, Bonnie doesn’t get along with many of them, so she would only be adopted out to a home with another dog after a successful dog introduction.  If you are interested in adopting Bonnie, please give the kennel a call at 413-447-7878, extension 126.
