Pet of the Week: Meet Dexter
Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.
This week's Pet of the Week is Dexter, a 9-year-old Beagle mix who is looking for his forever home. Dexter came to the Berkshire Humane Society because he wasn't getting along with the children in his previous home.
Dexter is a smart, inquisitive, and reserved dog who's looking for a quiet home that can relax in. He is a little sensitive about being touched so he would prefer an owner who is not all over me, especially in the beginning. Despite Dexter's smaller size, he can be very strong when walking so he needs someone who can handle him, and sometimes he can also be reactive towards other dogs on leash. He loves sniffing more than anything, so an owner that can take him on sniff walks would be a huge plus! Dexter will not be placed in a home with children or a home where children visit often.

If you are interested in Dexter or any of the other animals looking for their forever home, please call the Berkshire Humane Society kennel at 413-447-7878, extension 126.
