Pet of The Week: Meet Joy
Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.
This week's Pet of the Week is Jooy, a 13-year old domestic long-haired cat. Joy is a spayed female who was found wandering the streets of Pittsfield. Berkshire Humane Society found her owner, but they did not want her anymore. Joy is on a supplement to help with her senior joints. Because she was left on the streets, mats developed in her long fur on her back, and the shelter had to cut some off. With proper care and regular grooming, her coat will improve. Despite all she has gone through, this tuxedo kitty is just as sweet as can be – a joy to be with! (See what we did there) A quite home for Joy would be best – no young children or other young pets.
The Berkshire Humane Society is now open to the public, adhering to all state COVID-19 guidelines.
