Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

Today's Pet of the Week is Katniss and like her namesake protagonist in The Hunger Games, is a survivor. She was found as a stray hanging around a North Adams neighborhood for two weeks. She’s about six and a half years old and is a pretty brown tiger.

For some reason, Katniss is overlooked at the shelter. No one has expressed interest in meeting her and the staff isn't sure why. They don’t know much about her because she was a stray, but she seems to get along with other cats and is very sweet in demeanor. If you are interested in adopting Katniss, please call the Berkshire Humane Society feline department at 413-447-7878, extension 124.
