Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

Today's Pet of the Week is Nacho, an 8-month-old rat terrier/chihuahua mix. He’s a cute, small, and athletic white and brown dog with a lot of energy, however, he is extremely afraid of strangers, especially men. Berkshire Humane Society kennel staff have been working with him to help him gain confidence, but they are looking for a specific home with someone who will continue to work with him.

Nacho is also vocal, so he is not suited for apartment or duplex settings. Due to his fearfulness, a home without small children is best. This little guy doesn’t like cats but gets along with some other dogs. Potential adopters must come for several meet and greets for Nacho to become familiar with them. Once he gets to know you, he’ll be your loyal companion! If you’d like more information about Nacho, please call 413-447-7878, ext. 126, and ask to speak with Candice, Sam, or Becca.

The Berkshire Humane Society is now back open to the public for regular hours with masks required and social distancing in place.
