Berkshire Humane Society Pet of the Week: Meet Onyx

Every Wednesday at 8:30 we're joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

To celebrate June as Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, this week's Pet of the Week is Onyx, a black 8-year-old domestic shorthair cat. Onyx was surrendered because he was too stressed in his former home; the activity of two other cats and six children was overwhelming him. Onyx is a friendly, sweet boy who loves to sit on your lap. He’s looking for a quiet home where he can thrive with love and attention. As a cat more than 7 years old, Onyx qualifies for a senior discount, but he has many more years to live!

If you adopt Onyx or any other cat this month, you can play our fuzzy mice cat toy game and win prizes such as a discount in adoption fees and cat toys and accessories. You also will be entered to win a cat goodie basket.

The Berkshire Humane Society is now back open to the public for regular hours.
