Every Wednesday at 8:30 Slater and I are joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week.

Teddy is this weeks Pet of the Week. Teddy is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu who is going blind and has cancer. This sweet little guy is in need of hospice care, so the Humane Society is in search of a special family so he can live the rest of days in a loving home. He is snuggle bug and will want to be by your side all the time. He is  afraid of larger dogs, but a calm, small dog may be ok.

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month so the senior made a great choice for this week, and throughout the month, adoption fees for all senior animals will be reduced by 50 percent. Also, in honor of Veteran's Day, BHS is waiving all adoptions fees for animals adopted by veterans or active military from November 10 though 16.
