The Pittsfield Suns Are Back; Here’s What Might Be Different This Year (LISTEN)
It's official, Pittsfield Suns baseball will be back at historic Wahconah Park for the 2021 season after last year's was benched due to the pandemic.
The Suns' first game at Wahconah will be on May 27th against the New Britain Bees.
Slater and Marjo had a chance to speak with sports guru Howard Herman from The Berkshire Eagle on Friday morning.
We had a bunch of questions about what might be a little different this year at the ballpark regarding COVID restrictions.
Slater: What's the ballpark gonna look like crowd-wise this year?
Slater: Is Wahconah Park all ready to go?
Slater: Any word on fireworks or mid-inning on-field entertainment?
Slater: What about the beer garden? And can we expect the normal ballpark food this year?
Slater: Are players looking for host families?
Email sander@pittsfieldsuns.com if you are interested in hosting a player.
Slater and Howard also talked about their mutual love of Joe Buck and the Aaron Rodgers story (he doesn't want to return to Green Bay).
Marjo and Howard also discussed last night's NFL draft.
