Early Sunday morning, members of the Pittsfield Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Cumberland Farms convenience store, located at 154 First Street.

The suspect is believed to be a white or Hispanic male with some facial hair. He is approximately 5’6” with a medium build and he may be in his 30’s. He was wearing a tan or beige coat, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and white sneakers.

The suspect brandished what is believed to be a knife or screwdriver, demanded money, and left with an amount of cash. After leaving the store, he ran southbound on First Street toward the Common Park.

No injuries were reported. Images of the suspect that were captured by the store’s video surveillance system will be released at a later time.
